Simulaa is a multidisciplinary architecture practice based in Melbourne / Naarm, working across architecture, urbanism, computation and enviromentalism. The practice is dedicated to both built commissions and speculative research projects.

As an office we are committed to providing exceptional design and project management services to all our clients. Although established in late 2020 the collective professional experience of Anna Jankvoic and Andre Bonnice in collaboration with Gab Olah, offers the benefits of large-scale project capability along with the innovation and client-focus of a smaller architecture practice.

Our design method is highly collaborative and adaptive, responding to the unique requirements of every commission. It is our belief that a successful project demands an acute appreciation for who our clients are, the opportunities of the site, as well as an understanding of the broader cultural context in which the project arises.

We understand that delivering your project on budget is of prime importance. During both the design and construction phases, we work closely with you, a quantity surveyor and the builder to keep your project on course.

Quality design outcomes are assured, with a one of Anna, Andre or Gab taking charge of the daily operation of every project. Client and consultant communications, project progress and design decisions are all centrally managed, using established budgetary and project management tools to ensure that every project is a success. Our projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality expected from our clients.

Simulaa was shortlisted for the NGV Architecture Commission 2021, among 4 other shortlisted candidates selected from 104 competition submissions. Alongside this exciting project, we are currently undertaking work including; Residential Alterations and Additions, an Artists’ Studio, and an adapative re-use of the 3 storey warehouse in Collingwood. Most recently Simulaa won the TAB2022 Installation Competition for the Tallinn Architecture Biennale in Estonia. A significant architecture festival addressing relevant issues to the profession and the city. TAB2022 is titled and themed ‘Edible; Or, The Architecture of Metabolism’.

In addition to our traditional Architecture work, Simulaa is keenly interdisciplinary, as a studio we deeply value the opportunity to collaborate with artists, scientists, writers and thinkers on speculative and built projects.
